A car wash is perhaps one of the simplest ways to raise money for a small group — a school club or sports team, perhaps.

To plan this, all you need are some signs, car washing supplies, a good location (a location that many cars pass) and, of course, people to wash the cars (group members).  Just pick a date (Saturdays are good) and an area with a lot of cars that is safe; get the hoses, buckets, sponges and soap ready; and start waving those signs.  If you charge $10 or $15 a car, you can make some quick money for your group or sports team.

One last point: Not only can this be a great fundraiser, but it can be great for team-building.  It lets people show their support for the organization and lets team and leadership relationships form.
